Write pitches and prepare Outlook drafts

A useful pitch structure

Mention the podcast and why this exact audience matters.

Introduce yourself in one relevant sentence.

Offer two or three concrete interview angles.

Add a short proof point and a simple next step.

Keep the final message concise, accurate, respectful, and written in your own voice.

Outlook connection — currently pending live activation

A secure Outlook account connection and draft-only workflow have been implemented in the project, but real Microsoft consent and real mailbox draft creation have not yet been verified. The Microsoft App User Connector must first be configured by the product operator. Customer-wide access remains gated. Gmail is not yet available.

1. When the Outlook connection is enabled for your account, open Settings or onboarding and select Connect Outlook.

2. Authorize access on Microsoft’s sign-in page. Never type a Microsoft password into PodProspector.

3. Return to PodProspector and verify the displayed connected account.

4. Open a suitable podcast record, review the recipient and pitch, and explicitly request an unsent Outlook draft.

5. Verify the draft in Outlook, edit as needed, and send it yourself from Outlook.

Important: Draft creation does not mean the email was sent. PodProspector does not automatically send pitches and does not request Microsoft Mail.Send permission for this workflow.

Before sending a pitch

Confirm the recipient is a publicly supported contact for guest inquiries.

Read every sentence and verify all personal/business claims.

Check names, program title, subject line and links.

Review whether this podcast has already been contacted.

Choose timing that is respectful of prior replies or opt-outs.
